A corporate trip to the Miami Grand Prix
A construction CEO’s personal assistant in Canada asked us to arrange a private jet charter for a corporate trip to the Miami Grand Prix and back. The request came in with just a few days’ notice and the client’s requirements kept changing, so flexibility and round-the-clock communication were essential to pull off the last-minute flights.
Our Solution
Route: Montreal > Miami > Montreal
Aircraft: Cessna Citation Excel, Gulfstream G-IV
Having sourced a private jet for 13 people, a new solution was required when the client began adding more passengers. We stayed in touch with operators, leveraging our contacts to hold different aircraft options every time the numbers changed.
Things were complicated further when we learned some of the extra passengers were based in Toronto, meaning collections were needed from two locations instead of one without exceeding the client’s budget.
We decided to split the final group of 21 between two aircraft, synchronising the flights to arrive in Miami at the same time. The VIP executives flew direct from Montreal in a Citation Excel, with the rest of the passengers travelling in a G-IV from Toronto via Montreal.
Despite limited availability at Miami’s executive airport during the busy race weekend, we were able to secure last-minute slots thanks to our long-standing relationship with the FBO.
The Finer Details
24/7 Communication: Our team maintained close contact with operators and FBOs to source new aircraft within 30 minutes of each passenger change.
Industry Connections: Utilising our strong relationships allowed us to hold options until final numbers were confirmed.
Attention to Detail: The company’s CEO was impressed to find his favourite whisky onboard after mentioning it to our broker. We also personalised each flight with bespoke catering and F1 race guides.
